What happened
I was taking care of a patient in the ambulance. I was in the process of starting an IV on the patient and the patient moved causing an excessive amount of blood to be expelled on my gloves. During that time my glasses were falling off my face and I used my forearm to push them back up. During that process some of the patient 's blood had gotten in my mouth. My supervisor was notified after the incident and proper procedures were followed for exposure testing.
