What happened

Fresh Thyme Farmers Market Geneva Store 113 Team Member [REDACTED] EMPLD ID 3143345 cut his thumb on his right-hand slicing Deli Meat for a customer in our Deli Department at approximately [REDACTED] on [REDACTED]. ASDC [REDACTED] notified the nurse line Medcor at [REDACTED] with [REDACTED] one hour after the incident occurred. The Medcor rep took down all pertinent information and sent [REDACTED] to DuPage Medical Group Center [REDACTED] for treatment. Medcor Incident reference number 26797623. [REDACTED] was not properly using the meat grip holder on the bezerba Deli Slicer and was holding supporting the meat towards the slicer with his hand instead of the meat grip causing the injury. [REDACTED] stated that the customer wanted pastrami deli meat cut thinly sliced and he needed better pressure to ensure a thin slice. [REDACTED] was very upset with himself and knows he should not have done this and utilized the proper parts of the slicer instead to ensure proper safety.
