As the employee was feeding material into the slip roller the slip roller grabbed the employee 's glove. This resulted in the 4th and 5th finger entering the rollers.
Injury or illness
The employee sustained a crushing injury to the 4th and 5th fingers resulting in a ruptured 4th finger and a crushed 5th finger. 4th finger was assessed and sutured closed. The 5th finger resulted in an amputation between the distal and proximal joint spaces.
