What happened

At approximately 1:05 pm Carrier delivered mail to 8931 Blankenship and was heading to 8927 Blakenship. She was walking through the grass and fell into a sinkhole or drainage pipe could have been. Due to the hole being covered with grass, carrier did not see it. She stepped into the hole with her left foot and her entire leg went into the hole. Supervisors were notified by Manager at 1:15p when she received the call and reported to the scene. Upon arrival on the scene, carrier was sitting in another carrier vehicle. We observed her leg and asked her if she required medical attention. She stated yes. 911 was called and Houston Fire Department arrived on the scene at approximately 1:22pm. Carrier complained of pain in her left ankle and leg region. She also complained of a shooting pain all the up her leg. It was later discovered that she was [REDACTED] pregnant and she had pain in back area and near the her belly button. Carrier was transported by EMT to Herman Memorial City at 921 Ge
