What happened

While making a batch the knife slide off the liquefier wedging in-between liquefier and deck rail. Employee looked to see where knife was and his right hand finger caught the edge of the blade that was sticking upwards. Employee felt a little pain and stopped working and inspected hand. That is when they noticed the cut to hand when they were changing gloves out. Once the employee observed it was a cut he was bandaged up the area was cleaned and everything was inspected in the area. The employee went to well now to get wound checked out. They did call Supervisor to let him know what was going on and inquire how to proceed. The wound was going to be glued at well now but they did not have glue so they used an alternative method. The employee got a note stating he was able to return to work the same day with a Left-handed duty only restriction with follow up in one week to lift restriction. Employee is left-handed and can perform duties with this restriction.
