Before the incident
Harvesting off of a ladder
What happened
While employee was harvesting off of a ladder the ladder shifted forward due to branches giving in to weight. This shift caused the employee to lose his balance and grasp at the tree to prevent a fall. Employee grasped a section of branch with thorn which entered his right palm. Employee partially removed thorn but was unable to do so completely due to depth of puncture.
