Mail delivery

On [REDACTED] carrier was delivering a 31lb parcel to [REDACTED] and hurt her back. The carrier continued to deliver but when she returned to the office Supervisornoticed her hunched over and she reported the incident. She then called me to state that she was injured and would not be able to make it in the following day. Upon return to work on [REDACTED] the carrier began to case her route but when I approached her to give her overtime I noticed she was unable to case properly as she was clearly injured. I asked the carrier if she sought medical attention and she stated no. I asked the carrier if she needed to seek medical attention as I could not have her working unsafely and needed to prevent further injury. The carrier agreed that it was unsafe and went to the ER that day. The PCP gave the medical opinion that carrier should remain out of work until [REDACTED].
