Walking down the street delivering mail.
What happened
The carrier notified me that he was walking down the odd side of the 2700 block of street and a man with a large tan poodle was walking towards him with the leash relaxed and extended about 15 ft. The carrier said this caused him to have to walk in the street off the sidewalk to avoid a dog attack. He told me that the man refused to tighten the leash and the dog broke loose and charged towards him and jumped and bit his left forearm.
