What happened
On [REDACTED] at approximately [REDACTED] [REDACTED] was delivering rural route [REDACTED]. She delivered mail to the mailbox at [REDACTED] and pulled forward a few feet passed the box to dismount for a parcel delivery. At this address there was no shoulder on the side of the road and a steep downgrade into the ditch. As [REDACTED] exited the [REDACTED] she stepped onto the steep decline of the ditch and lost her balance. As she fell she put her hands behind her to catch her fall resulting in an injury to her left wrist. Ambulance services transported [REDACTED] to the hospital where she received medical treatment.
