During the fire drill when the employees were gathered by the flagpole stand the employee was standing on the stand which is 15 inches off the ground. When he stepped down he landed on spikes that jabbed the ball of his left foot. All his body weight was on the ball of his foot for 2 seconds causing a lot of pain.
