Before the incident
Employee was placing a sleeved letter tray on a shelved APC with inserts.
What happened
Mail processing clerk was working on the AFCS machine during cancellation operations and sweeping the pockets and sleeving up the letter trays. As she was sweeping she reached up to place a letter tray 10 lbs. on top of an APC inserts and felt a pop in her back. Proper footwear was worn. Management has put a policy in place to not use the top insert shelf when loading the mail trays into the shelved APC.
