What happened
on [REDACTED] at [REDACTED] FT [REDACTED] carrier was pushing a wire cage full of packages down the west ramp to the parking lot. The wire cage veered off to the right struck the guard rail and came to an abrupt stop due to a 1 - 1 1 2-foot gap between the railings. This causes torque his left shoulder causing immediate pain. The wire cage was too heavy for the carrier to control going down the ramp. This is not a normal process to load parcels using a wire cage but due to the volume during peak season this is an accepted process.
