Unloading mail from vehicle.

At [REDACTED] mail carrier states that he was unloading his mail from the rear of the postal vehicle when a woman driving a silver Chevrolet car license plate number [REDACTED] was backing out of a parking spot and hit his left front bumper corner causing the postal vehicle to lurch backward striking him in his right knee with the rear bumper of truck. The customer checked his truck and stated there was no damage and she was leaving. The employee stated that he told the customer that he needed to contact his supervisor and the police to report the accident. The customer left the scene of the accident before police arrived. The carrier was able to get license plate and model and color of car. An ambulance was called and the carrier was checked out by paramedics and then transported to the hospital.
