Before the incident
Attempting to open scalpel and stabbed my finger and left open wound for the rest of the shift.
What happened
I was looking for something sharp to cut the hanging yarn on my jacket and I wasn 't able to find scissors so I stabbed myself trying to open the scalpel packaging and while opening it.. I stabbed myself It bleed for a bit but I just put hand sanitizer and the left the wound open for the rest of my shift now it is swollen hot and painful to move.
