Before the incident
Placing Left Femoral Central line utilizing Central line kit and ultrasound
What happened
I was placing a Left femoral central line. I am not sure exactly how I managed to stick my thumb of the right hand. I was holding the needle in my left hand as I came out of the vessel and skin. I moved to look at the femoral site and poked my right thumb while holding the syringe with needle in my left hand. I felt the poke and looked up to see I accidently had moved my left hand towards my right hand.
