Before the incident
Surgeon removed use of retractor and had CFA hold body part retracting with hand instead. Surgeon then trying to find the tract of infection with a 18 gauge needle in and out over and over. And then one of the times pushing the 18 gauge needle the surgeon stuck the needle into the left ring finger of the caregiver 's hand down to her joint.
