This PTA was assisting with sit to stand transfer from recliner using a gait belt under the patient 's arms holding belt with one hand and patient 's hand in the other. As the patient attempted standing upright she would lean backwards with force instead of straightening her spine and knees. The motion of leaning backwards with force against the support caused lumbar strain for the PTA. BMAT score not applicable for home health setting.
