What happened
[REDACTED] noticed a pain and numbness in her left hand when she was changing garbage bags in patient care area. She continued to try and work through it but the pain was bothersome. She asked me to look at it as it is bothering her when making certain motions with her hand (ex. Squeezing rotating) The area under her thumb is slightly swollen and bruised. She said it does not hurt to touch just when turning her hand or using it in certain positions.
