Giving immunizations to very mobile patient
What happened
While giving immunizations to [REDACTED] patient patient kicked after last immunization was given and needle was removed but before safety was engaged resulting in a finger stick to the left-hand index finger. immediately pressure was applied to wound. Calmly picked up supplies and left patient exam room where upon puncture wound was wiped with alcohol prep pad and blood cleaned up. Informed Manager [REDACTED] and Team Lead [REDACTED]. Began safe to share employee injury process.
