Running the sweeper

The injured Worker (IW) worked in an awkward position while struggling to loosen the dirty water inlet tube screens for wet floor scrubber sweeper unit FMJ. The screens are located inside the reclaimed water holding tank. Water flow is restricted by a floating ball valve to control-stop the flow of water into the holding tank. There are times when buildup within the tube hinders its normal operation. A deep cleaning requires their removal. The IW was facing away from the rear of the unit with their left arm fully extended and overreaching behind them while gripping and twisting the tube screens loose causing a shoulder injury.
