Assisting patient to the CT table from geri-chair
What happened
Employee states that she was assisting the patient to get on the CT table when she felt a pop in the right posterior forearm. She also states that this pop was audible. She states that the patient had arrived to CT in a geriatric recliner chair and stood up to transfer to CT table the patient was seated on the CT table and when the staff laid her back to properly align her body with the table the EE that was injured assisted with her feet. The employee was at the bottom of the CT table and lifting the patients legs to the right and she was standing to the left of the patient. It was during this transfer and patient repositioning that the EE heard and felt the pop in right posterior forearm.
