The employee was getting off the bus and fell from the top step to the ground below.

What happened

On [REDACTED] at approximately [REDACTED] a FFPO site support employee arrived at the [REDACTED] ([REDACTED]) [REDACTED] Petroleum Reserve (SPR) site’s main gate parking lot for their regularly scheduled work shift. At the time of the employee’s arrival the [REDACTED] site was experiencing a rainstorm. The employee proceeded through security and onto the site bus for transport to the [REDACTED] [REDACTED]. Upon arrival to the [REDACTED] [REDACTED] and as the employee was getting off the bus they fell from the top step to the ground below. The bus driver immediately notified the Emergency Response Team (ERT) that an employee had fallen in front of [REDACTED] [REDACTED]. The ERT responded immediately to assist the employee. The fall resulted in several injuries including abrasions and pain to their left knee left elbow right index and middle finger which were treated by the ERT.
