Employees were lifting an empty poly tank (30lbs) into the bed of a [REDACTED].

Operations employees were lifting an empty poly tank from the concrete secondary containment curb to load into the bed of a Kubota at [REDACTED]. While lifting the empty poly tank (Approx. Weight 30lbs) an employee felt a pop in the right forearm. The employee immediately reported the injury to his supervisor who was on location when the incident took place. ERT was notified and the employee was evaluated in the Control Room. WorkCare was also notified at this time. As per ERT and WorkCare recommendations the employee was sent to a local Urgent Care for further evaluation. The diagnosis was a strain. Employee was given an Anti-Inflammatory shot and prescribed an NSAID to take orally ([REDACTED] 75mg 2x day). The Supervisor who witnessed the incident noted that proper lifting techniques and Safe Work Practices were being utilized at the time of the injury.
