Before the incident
This was at the beginning of shift finished tailboard pulled backhoe into the shop gathered impact wrench and socket and then started to remove bolts for bucket cutting edge.
What happened
Pushing up from under the bottom of the bucket to hold bolt into place (plow bolt so it has a square shank that fits into the cutting edge of the bucket). Using an impact wrench and socket on the top to remove the nut from the bolt while the nut was coming loose it stuck to the bolt but it had backed out enough to allow the bolt to drop out of the square so the bolt spun. Because of the wear on the top of the bolt it made it very sharp once it dropped down and was exposed. The bolt spinning cut index finger.
