Before the incident
Tech was checking clearance of blades on grinder by manually rotating the blades and checking for sounds that would indicate they were too close.
What happened
One of the blades had a much sharper edge to it due to previously having been damaged from an insert from a previous batch of grinded material. As the tech reached to pull rotary blades down to check the clearance his right middle and ring finger caught the damaged section of the blade and sliced through. The machine was properly locked out and tagged during the servicing of the blades. Cut Resistant gloves were not applicable during this service.
