Locating duties of water and sewer lines.
What happened
When nearing the stated property to perform locating duties there was a medium sized dog on a chain with the owner in close proximity. The worker approached the property with caution and was told that the dog was friendly. The worker went to pet the dog and move it from the water shut-off area when the dog sniffed the worker 's hand and bit his right hand quickly only once. The owner then pulled the dog away from the worker and the worker completed the locates.
