Before the incident
The employee was completing the essential job duties as a production operator by loading parts into the line to ensure that production continued to flow without disruption. Her task on [REDACTED] line was to set the part in the assembly station for the next operator robot to complete the necessary work.
What happened
The employee set the part in the assembly station. However as it was already beginning to move down the line to the next station she noticed that the part was not level and attempted to correct it. However the robot was already in motion. As she pulled her hand back from the line she ripped off some of the skin on her thumb.
