Working in the office sitting at the front desk.

The employee was directly exposed to and contaminated with confirmed asbestos on [REDACTED]. On [REDACTED] the employee was on site at the Wayland Post while a rodent control contractor was working in the drop ceiling in the lobby. The employee was temporarily sitting at the front desk while another sergeant took care of another administrative task. The material in the drop ceiling was disturbed and disbursed into the air and on to work surfaces and the employee breathed in the material due to the fact the employee was a few feet away when it was disturbed. The rodent contractor then advised the unknown material was not rodent nesting. On [REDACTED] the employee was notified that the material tested positive as asbestos.
