What happened
Employee was changing a disc on a 9 handheld grinder the EE positioned the grinder in a vertical position actuated the lock and attempted to loosen the disc when unsuccessful the EE grabbed the disc with both hands and attempted to break the connection while doing so the grinders safety mechanism was actuated and the trigger made contact with the edge of an 28 X 3 4 leveling plate on the work bench starting the grinder lacerating his left index finger.
