Before the incident
Employee was shoveling concrete into curb forms during concrete pour.
What happened
The hopper on the pump ran empty on concrete this caused air to build up the pump hose because operator was unaware it had run empty he kept pumping. After concrete was being reloaded into the hopper the trapped air in the hose from the hopper shot existing concrete rocks 20 horizontally hitting the employee.
