Employee drove the Traffic Departments golf cart down to the receiving dock to meet a truck delivering [REDACTED]. After they spoke to the driver they got back in the golf cart to head back to the Traffic office but the cart would not start.

The employee lifted the seat up which exposed the engine to see if they could identify the issue. They stepped on the gas pedal and noticed that the drive belt and pulley on the motor may not have turned so they then placed their right fingers on the belt and pushed the pedal again. This time the belt engaged pulling their right index finger through the pulley.
