Before the incident
Employee was fabricating a new metal backstop for a packaging conveyor.
What happened
They needed to re-adjust a piece of the backstop they were workng on to make a few additional welds. The employee grabbed the metal frame and began sliding it to the edge of the welding table. When the large section of angle iron slid off the table the rest of the fixture dropped down flat onto the table.The employee 's left middle and ring fingers became pinched between the table and angle iron.
