The operator was using a crane to load a slit coil onto the uncoiler of the [REDACTED] 100 ton press. The operator was having some difficulty lining the eye of the coil up to the mandrel so the supervisor was called over to help set the coil. Once the coil was on the mandrel the employee attempted to remove the lifting chain from the [REDACTED] of the coil before expanding the mandrel leaves and securing the coil.

As the operator began lifting the crane block and chain into the air the chain hook caught on the coil I.D. shifting moving the coil on the mandrel. The coil slid off the uncoiler onto the ground falling forward onto its side. Employee attempted to get out of way from the coil falling forward when they fell to the ground.

Sprains strains to both ankles and wrists when the employee fell to the ground.

Sprains to ankles and wrists EE was attempting to secure a coil onto the uncoiler with the use of a crane when the coil slipped off the mandrel onto the ground. EE was injured when they fell to the floor attempting to get clear of the coil.
