Before the incident
Employee was operating a stand-up PIT to move finished good material around the warehouse.
What happened
The employee backed up into the front of a parked stand up PIT. The parked PIT had a pallet of material on the forks and the forks were raised approx. 18-24 (a few warehouse employees were in the process of transferring material from the pallet on the PIT to a finished good pallet for shipment). When the employee backed up into the PIT one of the forks entered into the operator compartment in which they were standing and struck the employees right lower leg.
