Before the incident
Worker was loading pallets of fruits into refrigerated containers.
What happened
While loading a truck a piece of a wooden pallet fell off the pallet and on to the ground below the dock. The worker parked his forklift and proceeded to step off the dock to retrieve the piece of the pallet that had fallen off. When his left foot went to step to the ground he stepped on the piece of the pallet that he was going to retrieve and rolled his ankle and fell to the ground.
