Before the incident
Laying of sheets of veneer into plywood
What happened
Employee was working on the lay up line on the head side and with another employee that was on the tailside laying up sheets of veneer. The lay up hoist started to lower due to the photo eye being blocked for too long which caused some sheets of veneer go beyond the backboard of the lay up line hoist. The operators stopped the line to prevent more sheets from coming down so they could fix the veneer that went under the back board.
