The injury did not cause the IP pain on the day of the injury but the next day ([REDACTED]) she reported pain but declined onsite first aid choosing to pursue care at home on her own. On [REDACTED] the IP reported that she was experiencing increased pain and that she wanted to pursue increased medial care - after a call and subsequent appointment with a nurse the injury was classified as a sprain with the employee receiving a 5lb restriction and a splint to stabilize the injured thumb.
