Before the incident

Readjusting left foot.

What happened

Team member was doing hot work to extract broken bolts for [REDACTED] 2 upper trunnion mounts. After the hot work was concluded he proceeded to change bushings on [REDACTED] 2 feed press roll. The Team Member stepped down to grab a die grinder. After working for about 5 minutes the Team Member went to re-adjust his left foot on the bottom fixed anvil. The anvil had been wet from the previous hot work Firewatch activities. The Team Members left foot slipped off of the anvil and his left leg grazed one of the bottom profiler knives. After re-positioning he did not realize his leg had been cut right away. The incident occurred just before first break and the Team Member saw the cut when he went to take break and reported the incident. The Maintenance Planner contacted the Safety Manager who transported the Team Member to the ER. 13 sutures were placed in the shin area of the left leg to close the wound. No restrictions were given.
