Loading a refrigerator onto a tilt-bed trailer to take to a cottage in [REDACTED].
What happened
The truck was parked with the front nearest [REDACTED] and the trailer behind so it was pitched toward the building. The tilt-bed trailer was tilted down to allow easy access for loading the refrigerator. An appliance dolly was being utilized. IW was pulling the dolly and refrigerator while witness pushed to get onto the bed. Once on the bed they slowly moved to the front of the trailer. As they hit the fulcrum the bed went down to it 's operating position (flat). This movement startled IW and caught him off-guard throwing him off balance. As he backed up he tripped over the rail of the trailer and fell backward and hit his head on the pavement.
