Moving cases off the packing line

At the end of the shift on [REDACTED] at approximately [REDACTED] I saw the employee at the First Aid box in front of the production office. I asked him what happened and he stated that he cut a right finger. He already had a wrap around his finger and I asked him if he needed medical attention? He stated that it was only a small cut and that he just needed a band aid and that he did not need any medical attention. On [REDACTED] he sent a text message that he was not able to report to work because he could not bend his finger. He stated that he did not take the wrap off his hand until [REDACTED] and realized that the cut was longer and more severe than he thought [REDACTED]. He went to the urgent care and they stated that he needed stitches but that he had waited too long after the injury to have the injury stitched. They cleaned his wound and gave him medication. He stated that he cut his hand against a rail while removing a case from the conveyor belt.
