Before the incident
Carpenters were cutting plywood strips for edge forms. The IP was cutting with the plywood nailed down to the table
What happened
While cutting the saw ended up binding momentarily causing the IP to be pulled forward slightly. The IP lost grip with his left hand and brought it to the table to catch himself. At this point with his right hand still tightly on the saw the saw reengaged and cut through the tip of his left index finger
