Section 5(a)(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970: The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees in that employees were exposed to incline ramp between weave room and cloth room. (a) Cart/manual is loaded with bolts of cloth and pushed down the ramp. Employees exposed to crushing action of cart if in a run away condition, between the cart and wall/rail of the ramp. "Among one feasible and acceptable abatement method to correct this hazard is "Jack Hammer" out present ramp and replace with a scissors/elevator lift form the weave room.
