Section 6(a) of the Puerto Rico Occupational Safety and Health Act:  The
employer did not
furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from
recognized hazards that
were causing or likely to cause death or physical harm to employees in
that employees were
exposed to:

proveyo empleo y un sitio de empleo libre de riesgos reconocidos que esten
causando o que
puedan causar muerte o dano fisico a los empleados, por cuanto empleados
estaban expuestos
a:
At the Central Parking System located at the basement of Home Mortgage
Plaza
building, there was a sewage water vent in the ceiling at the right side
of the entrance
of the parking that overflows every 3 months. The employees were bounded
to  walk
over one (1) to one and a half (1 1/2) inches of sewage water during their
working
shift,
soaking their shoes and socks, having contact with the sewage water.
Hazard: Contact with sewage water
Among other correction methods, some feasible and acceptable methods to
correct this
hazard are relocate the vent to another area that the employees don't be
exposed or repair
the pipes.
En el Central Parking System localizado en el sotano del edificio Home
Mortgage Plaza,
habia un respiradero de aguas usadas en el techo al lado derecho de la
entrada del
estacionamiento que se desborda cada 3 meses. Los empleados estaban
obligados a
caminar sobre una (1) a una y media (1 1/2) pulgadas de aguas usadas
durante su turno
de trabajo, mojando sus zapatos y medias, teniendo contacto con las aguas
usadas.
Riesgo: Contacto con aguas usadas
Entre otros metodos de correccion, varios metodos factibles y aceptables
para corregir
este riesgo son trasladar el respiradero a otra area donde los empleados
no esten
expuestos, o reparar la tuberia.
