Section 5(a)(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970:  The
employer did not
furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from
recognized hazards that
were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to
employees in that employees
were exposed to fall hazards while riding in a platform which was lifted
on the forks of a rough
terrain forklift:
a.Site - An employee was riding in on a platform where the platform was not
secured to the forks.
ABATEMENT NOTE: One feasible and acceptable method of abatement would be
to comply
with requirements of the American Society of Mechanical Engineers document

B56.6-1992, Safety Standard for Rough Terrain Forklift Trucks.t
