Section 5(a)(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970: The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees in that employees were exposed to being struck by a metal cage door. (a) Location - Main Hall Bar Area: On or about 02-24-00, employees are exposed to being struck by a metal cage door that can free-fall. Among other methods, feasible abatement methods include: 1. Installation of removable wood or metal sections. 2. Installation of a roll up door with mechanical means to lift and lock the door into the open position.
