Section 5(a)(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970:  The
employer did not
furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from
recognized hazards that
were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to
employees in that employees
were exposed to tripping/falling hazards:
Employee(s) working or walking in the layaway store room where merchandise
is stored in racks
and in the aisleways were exposed to physical injuries due to poor
lighting.  The lighting in the
layaway store room measured approximately 45 lux or less.
Among other methods, one feasible and acceptable means of correcting this
hazard would
be to provide lighting as recommended by the Illuminating Engineering
Society, Fifth
Edition, at a level of 820 lux for a stockroom inside a store.
29 CFR 1903.19(d)(1) requires certification and documentation that the
abatement
of the above
violation is complete.
