Section 6(a) of the Puerto Rico Occupational Safety and Health Act:  The
employer did not
furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from
recognized hazards that
were causing or likely to cause death or physical harm to employees in
that employees were
exposed to:
Seccion 6(a) de la Ley de Seguridad y Salud en el Trabajo de Puerto Rico:
El patrono no
proveyo empleo y un sitio de empleo libre de riesgos reconocidos que esten
causando o que
puedan causar muerte o dano fisico a los empleados, por cuanto empleados
estaban expuestos
a:
Depto. de Salud (Oficina Programa WIC - Luquillo), was previously cited
for a violation
of this Occupational Safety and Health Standard or its equivalent
standard: Section
6a.0001, which was contained in OSHO Inspection Number 301704193, citation
number
1, item number 2, issued on 06/25/2001.
At the WIC Program Office:  Where the employees works doing their tasks,
were
observed two instances of leak spots in the roof from which the water can
fall to the
floor.
a.  At the auxiliar certifier area.
b.  At the oficial certifiers area.
Hazard:  Slips and falls.
One feasible and acceptable method to correct this hazard is repairing the
leaks.
Depto. de Salud (Oficina Programa WIC - Luquillo), fue previamente citado
por una
violacion de esta norma de Seguridad y salud Ocupacional o su norma
equivalente:
Seccion 6a.0001, la cual esta contenida en la Inspeccion Numero 301704193,
citacion
numero 1, renglon numero 2, emitida en 06/25/200.
En la Oficina del Programa WIC:  Donde los empleados trabajan realizando
sus tareas,
se observaron dos casos de manchas de filtraciones en el techo desde las
cuales puede
caer agua al piso.
a.  En el area de la certificadora auxiliar.
b.  En el area de los certificadores oficiales.
Riesgo:  Resbalones y caidas.
Un metodo de correccion apropiado y aceptable para eliminar este riesgo es
el reparar
las filtraciones.s
