Section 6(a) of the Puerto Rico Occupational Safety and Health Act:  The
employer did not
furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from
recognized hazards that
were causing or likely to cause death or physical harm to employees in
that employees were
exposed to:
Seccion 6(a) de la Ley de Seguridad y Salud en el Trabajo de Puerto Rico:
El
patrono no
proveyo empleo y un sitio de empleo libre de riesgos reconocidos que esten
causando o que
puedan causar muerte o dano fisico a los empleados, por cuanto empleados
estaban expuestos
a:
Employees exposed to the hazard of fall from the bucket of the diger. At
Valle San
Rafael Project, located on Guayabal Street, Trujillo Alto: Where the
employees were
plastering the interior walls of the second floor, was observed an
employee that was
standing in the bucket of the digger (model 555 E). The employee was
moving cement
from the bucket of the digger to the floor of the second level of the
house to the
employees that were plastering. Had 11 feet of height approximately.
Among other methods to correct this hazard is, to give to the employees a
fall protection
trainig as established in the standard 1926.503(a).
Empleados expuestos al riesgo de caida desde la canasta del digger. En el
Proyecto valle
San Rafael, localizado en la calle Guayabal, Trujillo Alto: Donde los
empleados estaban
empanetando las paredes del interior del segundo piso, se observo un
empleado que
estaba parado en la canasta del digger (modelo 555 E). El empleado estaba
moviendo
cemento de la canasta del digger al piso del segundo nivel de la casa para
los empleados
que estaban empanetando. Tenia una altura de 11 pies aproximadamente.
Entre los metodos para corregir este riesgo es, darle a los empleados un
adiestramiento
en proteccion contra caida como lo establece la norma 1926.503(a).to
