SCRR 71-112A: Failed to furnish a place of employment which is free of
recognized hazards which may cause death or serious physical harm to his
employees and comply with this regulation and other occupational safety and
health rules and regulations promulgated under Chapter 15 of Title 41,
Code of
Laws, State of South Carolina, 1976, as amended, as follows:
A. Employer knew or should have known that employees unloading utility
building by standing behind them and walking them down a ramp alone were
exposed to the hazard of being crushed, pinned, or suffocated by a 1200 to
1600 lb utility building.  A feasible and useful method to correct this
hazard, among other methods, is to have a rollback truck backed against the
flatbed trailer, have the utility building wrenched and rolled onto the
rollback and then lowered to the ground by the wrench on the rollback
truck.
This would prevent the utility building from falling on anyone in the
future.
