North Carolina General Statue 95-129(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of North Carolina: The employer did not furnish to each of his employees condition of employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees in that employees were exposed to: a)Migrant farm workers exposed to live electrical parts as bathroom light fixture is not permanently attatched to structure of camp and outlet plate is not installed on electrical outlet in kitchen. Among other methods, one feasible and acceptable method of abatement to correct this hazard is to provide correctly installed light fixture, and install an outlet plate in the kitchen. Weekly inspection should take place by employer to ensure proper electrical maintenance and use of electrical appliances and facilities.
